Left Coast Tales...

Seeing as it is just past mid-month, I suppose a blog is in order. I won't bore you with the minutiae of all that has happened in every last detail, but you do deserve a little something.

I am thoroughly enjoying flying out of LAX and I really wish I could just keep doing that. Even if it were possible, that would mean moving to LA and I'm not too keen on that part of the bargain. Why move? Well, this whole 4.5 hour business of flying between LA and the ATL would get old VERY fast. Actually, it's rather unpleasant already. But that's okay because at both ends, there are people waiting excitedly to see me, as I am them. Today I lucked out and got the entire middle row (3 seats) to myself on a widebody 767. Ahhhhh! It marks my 4th trip between the coasts this month and the first time I wasn't smashed in next to some stranger glued to his/her Blackberry. So verrrry nice. :-)

Here's the places I've been:

San Francisco, CA
Oakland, CA
Sacramento, CA
Reno, NV
Las Vegas, NV
Torreon, Mexico
La Paz, Mexico
Loreto, Mexico

Here's a "basic map of Baja California" so you can see where La Paz and Loreto are.

Actually, that's all the places I'll go for the rest of the month as well. There are only a few other ones I won't visit. Palm Springs, CA, Mazatlan and Hermosillo.

I'm here in Atlanta until Sunday sometime when I'll head back to LA for the rest of the month. Allison is coming out there next weekend, which will be her second time.

So, without further adieu, I'll show you a few select photos from the MILLIONS I've taken on my LA adventures. Click on the photo and a big version will open in a new window.

Allison (on the plane) leaves LA for Atlanta, May 7th.

Landing in Las Vegas right next to the Strip.

Departing LAX with a view of Marina del Rey.
Smoke in distance is the Griffith Park fire from last week.

Passing over the "famous" In N Out while landing on 24R.
(no, I was not the one flying the airplane for this one)

Loreto, Baja California -- town is behind and right of airport.

Our passengers disembarking in La Paz, Baja California.

One of many cool-looking islands down along the Baja coast.

I think that about does it for now. It's only 8:51pm on the west coast right now and I'm wide awake!
